HOW CAN YOU TELL IF A VINTAGE IS GOOD?
Before turning to the best vintages of the Pomerol winesIt's time to define what makes a good vintage. Grapes need sunlight to develop. The sun's rays strike the leaves of the vines, enabling them to synthesize sugars. This is called photosynthesis. The more sun there is, the greater the photosynthesis. But beware of excess, as this would make the grapes heavy, lack acidity and therefore balance.
